Hoisin BBQ Sauce Chicken Thighs

Ingredients

1/2 can tomato paste
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
1 tablespoon coconut aminos
1 teaspoon miso paste
1 teaspoon olive oil, or avocado oil
1 teaspoon rice vinegar
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
4 chicken thighs, skin on

Directions:

1.Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper and put into air fryer at 350F, skin down.

2.Whisk all of the other ingredients together in a bowl to create the sauce. Feel free to taste and add more seasonings to your liking.

3.Flip chicken to skin side up after ten minutes in the air fryer and put continue to cook for another 5.

4.After the 5 minutes, put a bit of the bbq sauce on top of the chicken skin and continue to air fry for another 5 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked when you cut into it!

5.Add more sauce on top of the chicken when you serve it.

A delicious, healthy lunch that is excellent served with rice (short grain brown is my go-to), potatoes, salad or sauteéd veggies. This chicken would also be delicious if you have leftovers to put into a wrap with some kimchi or pickled carrot/daikon, cilantro and cabbage!
